Robert Gerard's Graduation!!

YAY! My baby graduated from college on Sunday and I am so proud of him. He stayed for 5 years so we didn't get to graduate together, wish we did =(. But it was a very nice and SHORT graduation which is always a good thing haha. He looked so cute in his cap and gown and I got lots of pictures!

The one below is my favorite one of him, this one is getting framed for my desk =) Wish it didn't come out so dark but oh well, we were outside.

Here is one of me and him out side of the gym, he looked so handsome didn't he? After the graduation we went out to lunch and then right to his party, it was quite an exhausting day.

I took him out for a fancy dinner in February as his present. He wanted to go to this expensive steak house really bad so we went early, it was nice and I actually ate veal......it was alright....the ebst part is that with his graduation money he is going to pay off all his bills so now we can save hard core for our apartment.....YESSSSSS...always exciting =)

New Book

I ordered a book off Amazon.com the other day, Lisa bought it for Christina for her birthday last year and I have been wanting to read it since I started reading The Knitting Circle (which I finised today =)). The book I bought is called Knitting Under the Influence by Claire LaZebnik and I heard it was funny. I think I need a uplifting book since that other book I read was a little more then depressing, very well written, but depressing. The cover is my favorite part since I haven't really started it yet.

Isn't that a wicked cool cover? I found it to be very clever haha. It looks like a good read, I will keep you updated. I am so bord at work right now and I have to work mandatory overtime!!! ICKKK!!!!!

Ahhh Finished projects and new yarn!!!

I promised a pic of the finished baby booties so here it is, I even have the baby attached haha. He is a chunker and adorable =). Here is a closer look.

I am so proud, the parents loved them! =) Yesturday me and my Robert went to the mall that just happen to have a yarn store so I had to peak in. I found the softess nicest yarn! It is 80% baby alpaca and 20% silk, I can't wait to start knitting with it! I can't decided whether to make fingerless gloves or socks with them, but I want to use both colors. Aren't they beautiful! I never make anything for myself, but this yarn is mine!

Good Times!

I AM EXAUSTED! I am so worn out from this weekend it isn't even funny. On Saturday I went out to Boston with my friend Lisa Marie and danced up a storm! I had a sex on the beach and budlight and just danced danced danced! The DJ sucked though haha
Then on Saturday morning ( I had to get up early...ickkkkk) I met Rob at his house and we drove to Rhode Island. He went and did his supplement demonstration and I drove around for a little while. After that we went to Providence Place, the biggest mall I have ever been to! It was incredible, we finished our mothers day shopping and drank orange julius all day =). I wish we had time to go to one of the restaurants for dinner but we had to get home and get ready to go out.

We went into Boston with his friends from work. It was fun, we got in the club and drank practically for free because his boss and his boss's wife both work there. I was the designated driver so I couldn't drink that much but it was still fun, the place was really nice. I slept over his house that night then went home to be with my mom for mothers day. My family came over and I practically fell asleep at the table. I had to get up early both nights I went to Boston and I am not in college any more, I feel like a old woman!!!! I am falling asleep at my desk at work as we speak!!!!

In knitting news, I finished the baby booties for my cousin, pictures to come!

YAYYYYYY!!!!!

YAY!!! I got my invitation to Ravelry this morning!!!!! I am sooo happy! For all of you on Ravelry reading this HELLLLLOOOOO!!!!! =)

I am a little intimidated though....I was looking at a bunch of peoples projects and they are so much more advanced then I am! I was looking at my stuff and it just doesn't compare =(, oh well that just means I'll have to work alot harder at getting better and making more cool stuff!! So this is a happy day =)

This weekend is going to be so busy, it goes Boston, Rhode Island, mall, Boston again (possibly sleeping at his house or my house with Robert =P) then mothers day.....whoa I need to slow down if I am going to get any knitting done!

Antsy!!!

I have been patiently awaiting my Ravelry invitation and it is driving me crazy!! On Monday they invited 2000 people to join and I am now 691 to be invited in the next 1000 and they haven't done it yet ::sniffle:: I am soooo excited about joining, I can't wait! I want to learn more about different fibers and techniques and I know this is the place to do it. Waiting patiently is making me impatient =(

In other news I am going to Rhode Island with my Robert Gerard on Saturday =). It should be fun, we have never gone to another state besides New Hampshire on a little road trip before so I am excited. He has to go for a demonstration for a supplement company he works for, he is so cute huh?

I leave you with a picture of the book I am reading, The Knitting Circle. It is sad but there is something about it that make me love it, I highly recommend reading it =)

Books and Things

This weekend was a quiet one. Me and Rob went to the movies, did errands and went out to dinner with friends. It was a relaxing weekend, but still busy. I did get a book while I was out on Sunday that I started reading. It is called The Knitting Circle by: Ann Hood. I haven't been able to put it down, sneaking paragraphs during work haha. It is actually kind of sad. It is about a woman who lost her daughter and joined a knitting circle to keep herself busy. Everyone in the circle has there own story of loss and knit to cope with it......very deep..deeper then most things I read but I am enjoying it.

Going to be another late night at work tonight since our new operating system finally went live. Ickkkk....I just want to home, take a shower and read my book til bed time.....or maybe finish that baby booty I started. We will see =)

P.S as of today there are only 691 people in front of me at Ravelry!! yay!!! Almost there!

Ravelry.com

You know how I was talking about how I really want to learn how to do more advanced things with my knitting? Well I have found this awesome website that has knitters from all over the world showing off there stuff, making knitting friends and helping each other out with projects! It is called Ravelry.com and it is sooooooo cool! It has all kinds of features where you can catalog your stash of yarn and needles, have favorite sites and books and feature your finish objects! I have asked around and it has gotten great reviews so I got on the waiting list for membership. As of today there 3174 people in front of me in line haha, this place is beyond popular. Don't worry though, they add about 1000 people a day so I will have my membership by next week. I am so excited! I will finally get to make new knitting friends =)

In other knitting news, I have fallen in love with a set of interchangable circular needles that would be perfect for when I start my first sweater, but they are kinda expensive. They would definately save me money in the long run since they come with 24" and 32" cords and 9 different sized needles, but spending $70 on needles would give me chest pain lol. I mentioned them to Robert Gerard and he wants to get them for me but I would feel bad. I dont even know how to make a sweater yet! We will see....maybe we can make them an early birthday present =), that means I would need some yarn to! =O

Doodles

When I was in highschool I spent pretty much all my free periods in my art class painting. It was very theraputic for me to paint and talk to my art teacher about what was going on in my life. I don't really paint much now, though I would really like to get back into it. I dont draw as well as I use to because I am VERY out of practice but I still like to doodle sometimes. Nothing fancy or well drawn, but just some little things to pass the time. Since I have been extremely bored at work with our failing operating system I have done a few for S and Gs =)

These are supposed to be me enjoying my knitting haha. I thought they were extremely cute for doodles and self portraits haha! I covered them in tape so they wouldn't rip. Sort of a ghetto form of lamination lol. I thought I was being very clever ^_~
